Village Cafe opens on weekends. Booking for private parties / retreats / causal meetings are also welcomed.

Hikers can simply walk-in whenever the bamboo gate is opened. Drivers can email me for Country Park entry permits if needed.

The Corridor

荊棘滿途

這幅壁畫作品是應莫超如先生於2009年在石硤尾創意藝術中心(JCCAC)舉辦之從五四到六四主題展覽而作。當時莫先生以JCCAC租戶身份伸請使用5/F公共空間以作展覽場地，並邀請了數名藝術工作者展出畫作及裝置作品。我是其中一名參與展出者。我選擇了被荊棘盤纒的民主女神像為主題，以Graffiti形式創作。然而，在創作其間及完成作品後屢遭中心職員阻止及查問，內心承受不少壓力。莫先生對場地的Booking以7月初為限，我們都明白交場的同時理應把場地還原，但是在Booking還未到期的時候，中心方面卻煞有介事地向莫先生開出一道條款，說若然不把壁畫除掉則須付10000元給中心以作還原費用。聞訊後我甚質疑中心聘請工人以白色油漆還原場地真的要10000元這麼多嗎。為何我們還沒有說要長期保留民主女神圖像的時候官方就事先假定我們不會除去畫作？為何官方會如此先聲奪人地開出這道'巨額'條款以作警戒？是否官方就是要除之而後快？難道這幅壁畫、或是這個民主女神圖像觸犯了官方某些忌諱？無論如何，官方的過份敏感姿態卻觸發我們延長保留壁畫的想法，於是多名藝術家租戶展開了馬拉松Booking，持續利用這空間進行展覽。在此我很感謝海潮及神父的接力Booking，亦感謝Vinci作的"Defend the Freedom for Art Expression"。無奈於8月4日，當我對壁畫進行Touch Up的時候，又遭官方職員出言阻止，說什麼這幅畫不能再添加什麼的......我感到非常費解、非常不愉快。現時生效的Booking將於8月初到期，我們本擬繼續作接力Booking，但官方卻以裝修為由，拒絕接受Booking。我們無奈，我們也沒辦法，但我們終究不是強盜惡霸，既然官方施盡其法不讓我們續用場地，我們也只能順從。我們也會有始有終，於8月8日早上把牆壁還原至一遍蒼白(我們總不能要莫先生付那筆10000元的還原費吧) 。還要多謝Emily(本擬自8月初起作Booking)及其他關注此事的朋友，最後亦感謝Andy Li把壁畫拍攝下來，好讓可作為一個圖像紀錄。

Just Black n White

Back to the basic.  This was done with just a cheap 2 dollars HB pencil at my friend's home in Shenzhen, China.   I actually got a big bag of Montana cans with me when I crossed the border to China, however it turned out like I haven't used any spray at all.  I was only using a pencil and so I had to carry all the cans back.

Motorcyclists' Cafe

I would regard this as the title wall of the Carpark Cafe.  Does anyone know about Cafe Racers?  Yes, those cool riders from Ace Cafe London.

Anyway this is the very first time I put the WAP mark on a real wall.  An 8-hours spray-painting work till 4am.  But it worths.

#1 Art Attack Series, Wall Art Project (WAP)

This is the first piece of works in the Art Attack Series.  The tattoo-style pattern in red says "WAP" which stands for "Wall Art Project"  This design will be used as a reference for a bigger piece of mural.

潮水未乾 Keep Flowing Tides

A Mural / Graffiti work at Jockey Club Creative Art Centre (JCCAC).

The corridor used to be so "gray" at JCCAC.  I painted them and wanted the colours to keep on flowing.  

This piece is outside Hoi Chiu's Gallery on 5/F.  Hoi Chiu is a multi-talented artist who will charm you by his sand painting, puppet & mask theatre shows. He is now managing All Theatre Company with his wife Maggie Blue.
